El Condado, Puerto Rico

El Condado is the upscale resort area of the city and thus plays home to a fairly large number of luxury hotels. This is a area of fancy hotels, casinos, nightclubs, restaurants and chic boutiques. The heart of the tourism area stretches down Ashford Avenue from the Hilton to the Marriott and Ambassador hotels.

Home to many fine restaurants and high-level boutiques such as Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Gucci, the Parque de la Gran Ventana al Mar and its fountain has become a popular meeting place to watch the evening settle in.

El Condado's entertainment is centered on three main activities: shopping, the justly popular Condado Beach, and the casinos.

El Condado it is also the most sought-after and prestigious residential area in San Juan and all of Puerto Rico. Maybe the true center of Condado is the park at Magdalena Avenue and Cervantes Street.

Local residents use this park as their outdoor salon and you're welcome to join in to get a taste of local life. Sophisticated bistros and restaurants draw lively crowds at night.
